What is an Audit?

An audit is an examination of a company’s financial records to determine if they are fairly presented, free from material error and in accordance with what are called Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Simply Put… Auditors perform tests of the accounting records and such other procedures, as they consider necessary in the circumstances, to provide a reasonable basis for their opinion.

Misconception of Audit: April 15 is more of a tax deadline. We do the work based on the client’s deadline which ranges from month to years.

What it is like working on an audit engagement?

A career in audit can be extremely dynamic.

12:30-2:30 p.m. Continue working on assignments
